Today was the best day all summer in New York. I’ve been looking for a day like today and I’m so glad it came. The sun was out, the breeze was beautiful, and it was the perfect day for a sail. My parents bought Matt, my boyfriend 2 tickets to go on a Craft Beer Sail in Manhattan after he did amazing in his Organic Chemistry class. Matt chose to go when Brooklyn Brewery were serving their beer on the cruise. We took the train into the city and it was a really quick ride.
I feel so tourist-y when I go to the city because I really don’t know my way around. Everytime I am in the city I take so many pictures and just stop and stare at the beautiful buildings and views. We got there early so we got a good spot in line and got a chance to get a good seat when we were let on. The boat set sail at 12 o’clock sharp and we sailed around by Ellis Island and got up close and personal with the Statue of Liberty. The sail itself was gorgeous – we had the best time just standing by the starboard ( the right side of the ship) talking and laughing.
They gave us 5 different beers to try, the boat also had a bar to get other drinks/more beer if you wanted. I think I liked 2 out of the 5 beers. One was really yucky it was a dark malt beer and Matt said it tasted like syrup, we both threw it out (Matt would never throw out beer, so that’s how you know it was bad). They had snacks for us too but we didn’t eat much of it. Before we knew it the tour was over. It was such a fun time, I highly recommend going.
Here is the link incase anyone wants to go! I highly recommend it (click Schedule/Buy Tickets), they have their calendar and you can click on the times and they have the prices and descriptions of each. My dad got them from Groupon so check on the regular if they have deals): https://www.manhattanbysail.com/
I totally love this outfit I’m wearing today. The top it from Love 21, it’s so comfy and it’s only $12! Such a steal. It runs big but I like it like that because it can be tucked in and it’s just so soft. The pants are from H & M, they are my fav block pants I ever bought. You have seen these before. I really want to get other colors but the colors are really neutral. I tied the look altogether with the denim vest. It was a good balance between casual and dressy. The vest made it casual while the block sandals dressed it up.
