I’ve been a Sephora VIB Rouge member for about a year now. I love handing my red card to the cashier, I’m so proud to flash the card. Being rouge is fun! You get lots of perks such as these listed below in the picture:
I really take advantage of the 3 day shipping. I usually don’t go to the beauty studio. I really enjoy doing my own makeup. I feel comfortable with my own routine and style.
Onto the event.
Super cute title btw, it was called Beauty Before Brunch.
The event was at 9 am! Super early for me. I decided to take my mom as my guest, I figured she would have a good time and enjoy going with me. We got there on time and were second in line. The mall wasn’t even opened yet, they opened early just for the event. It was my first rouge event so when I got in the store it was so nice bascially being the only ones there. They had coffee for us, as well as brownies, cookies, and small muffins.
I first met a Sephora worker her name was Vanessa, she offered to do my eye makeup for me (part of the event was a mini makeover in the studio). Like I said above, I don’t usually like to have others do my makeup, but I went there with no makeup on and I started to feel weird without anything on my face and eyes. After chatting for a little, we established we have the same taste in products and we have the same style. I LOVED how she did my eyebrows – they looked perfect. The only thing I didn’t like was how thick she did my eyeliner. Applying eyeliner on someone else is very hard; I’ve done it before. It was a perfect line but too thick for my eye shape. I also chatted with an old friend from high school, Sally Anne – hayy girlll, who works in the store. She matched me up with Linda who did my color IQ, which was pretty awesome. If you never had it done before go do it, they use this hand held device that takes pictures of your forehead, cheek, and neck and it matches you to the proper foundation based on your complextion. It was great having her find the correct foundation shade for my skin. She matched me with MAKE UP FOR EVER which has a new awesome formula, which you can actually apply with your hands for a less put together look (a brush will make sure every part of your face is covered). Last, Sephora consultant Dana helped me with cream contouring which I wanted to know more about, because I’ve had some weird powder bronzer fall out on my face lately.
Time for the goodies!

I knew I needed two products, Anastasia Brow Wiz (because I ran out) and another Stila – Stay All Day Black Liquid Liner (because I wanted to make sure I had enough for my trip). After I got my color IQ, I decided to purchase the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in color Vanilla 135 – R300. I also picked up Laura Mercier Cream Contour Palette, which was recommended by Dana. She said when she felt my face it felt really dry and even if I feel like I have oily skin, I still need to moisturize. She convinced me to pick up Pomegranate Balancing Cream-Gel Moisturiser by a brand called Korres which uses Greek herbs. I LOVE IT! It smells amazing and makes my skin feel so soft. I liked how it applies on my skin vs the Philosophy Hope in a Jar. Lastly, I had a just because purchase when I picked up Hourglass Ambient Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light and smudged it on my hand, I thought it was so gorgeous. The way it reflected off my hand in the light was beautiful. In my free bag I got at checkout, it had a bunch of cool products in it such as Korres Wild Rose Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial in Rose Sauvage, Benefit POREfessional, Sheer Strength nail polish, Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser, Fresh Rose Face Mask, Bare Essentials Marvelous Moxie lipgloss in Maverick, a small sample Chloe perfume, and a L’Occitane lotion.
