One aspect of health & beauty that is SO important to me is my oral hygiene! I’ve had so much work done on my teeth that I 100% believe in taking the best care of them possible (also Matt’s in dental school & it automatically is super important to me too!) It makes me so excited that for the rest of my life I’ll have someone to take care of any tooth pain I’ll ever have. I know he’s going to be a great dentist. Shout out to him working hard and being super dedicated! Totally had to share a pic of us with his loupes on because it’s too cute!!
From braces to retainers, bone grafting & veneers, I’ve had quite a lot of work done on my mouth. Making sure my teeth are treated with the right brush is the most important part of my oral hygiene routine. I originally started with an electric toothbrush after my general dentist recommended that it would help maintain the work done in my mouth. Even after the recommendation, I didn’t buy an electric toothbrush right away because I was afraid it would be too rough on my teeth.
I finally felt like I had to make a change so I took the plunge & got the OralB PRO 1000. This brush was way too rough on my gums & teeth, which is what I was afraid of! My gums would bleed and I would feel so uncomfortable & sore. I felt lucky when Matt got me a QUIP for free because he attended a dental conference – I felt it was better than my OralB & I was happy for a while because it was soft and gentle. Even though it was soft & gentle, it didn’t give me a good enough clean and I felt hopeless at this point. I went back & forth between the OralB and the QUIP to try to get the best clean and results.
It sounds like I needed something else to work for me, right? Enter the cariPRO Ultrasonic – hands down the softest & most comfortable toothbrush I ever used. I didn’t know soft until I started using the cariPRO! There are 5 different brush settings, Clean, White, Massage, Gum Care, & Sensitive. My favorite is the Sensitive mode which is perfect for those who have sensitive gums & teeth & find the other modes a little too rough. My goal is to work myself up to the Clean mode in order to get the best clean possible. The brush bristles are extremely soft and on the back of the brush head is a tongue scraper.
I never really get anxious when I go to the dentist, I’m so used to going at this point, but I know there are a lot of people out there who are afraid of the dentist – the big light above your head, the loud buzzing, and sharp tools, it can be pretty intimidating. One thing I love about the cariPRO is that the vibration when you brush isn’t loud or scary at all, it is quiet & gentle. If you want a better clean and a more comfortable electric brush, or maybe you want to try an electric brush for the first time, I 100% recommend trying the cariPRO.
