Collectively Chic was founded in June of 2015. It all started as a way to share my personal style with friends. I have always loved listening to others feelings & giving them advice. I have shared recent purchases – from lace up flats, to printed cross body bags, as well as, how to style comfy booties for school and off the shoulder dresses, all by being a petite girl of 4’11” who is a school counselor for Kindergarten to 8th grade. Even though I am petite, my body is a little disproportionate. The same sizes do not work for me all the time, but that is what makes shopping interesting for me. I feel that there are other women out there like me who do not fit the stereotypical body image of our society and I would love to help empower & inspire other women like me who sometimes do not feel confident or comfortable in their own skin.
I would love for Collectively Chic to become a place where women can read, search my site, and find an outfit that they want to re-create and be prepared to conquer the day ahead of them! Shopping is my favorite things to do and I love discovering a great pair of shoes and styling the newest bags. Shopping on a budget was something I had to strictly follow in college. After years of shopping experience, I have been able to find great sales (and splurge on some items when appropriate). I hope to grab the attention of women who are looking for ways of dressing cute, casual, and confident for school, work, or just days when you’re on the go, without breaking the bank. I love sharing my stories about how I found a certain item or about a weekend getaway with my family or fiance. I’m so excited that you are on this journey with me. Thank you for being here!🙂
About Christina Michele
I’m a 25-year-old New York City girl who is obsessed with fashion, shoes, and crafting. Ever since I graduated from Catholic high school, I loved finally getting the chance to buy my own clothes and putting outfits together. From when I was a little girl, I always had an eye for creativity – I loved art, drawing and having my mom dress me up in different outfits. I have always been asked for outfit inspiration and where I have gotten certain items from. I love that friends, coworkers, & strangers come to me asking for advice. I even get inspired by other fashion bloggers daily! We all have the ability to create outfits and ensembles and that is what I try to do each day I post for you. Dressing up even on days when I’m not feeling up to it, helps me feel better! I would love to help you turn your day from upside down to right side up and get you feeling positive! Sometimes we all need a little inspiration!
