2016 looks with #NSale purchases.
Welcome #NSale!
It’s finally here! The #NSale is my favorite sale of the year because I get to stock up tons of brand new pieces that are perfect for my favorite season – FALL! This is the best time to buy some basics to add to your wardrobe such as, white & black v-neck blouses & some new pairs of skinny jeans.
Why shop the #NSale?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale introduces shoppers to BRAND NEW fall styles where high priced designer items are on major sale. You can shop items like Stuart Weitzman’s knee high boots, Rebecca Minkoff’s crossbody bags, & Kendra Scott’s earrings & necklaces for less money than you could believe. Last year, the Tory Burch riding boots were marked down by a few hundred dollars. Those cute styles went so fast and if you need a pair jump on them first. I like that these items stay on sale for a long period of time and give shoppers the chance to purchase these items before they raise the price.
When can I shop?
In order to shop the #NSale Early Access, which is from July 13 – July 20, you need a Nordstrom card. Last year, I didn’t apply for a Nordstrom card until the day before the sale & I was approved right away. It was really simple & easy. All I had to do was walk up to a register & the salesperson gave me a temporary paper copy of my “card”. I enjoy shopping early because all of the brand new items sell out really fast. I even missed out on some items that I added to my shopping cart because they sold out. Interested in getting a Nordstrom credit or debit card? Check out this link. If you decide to wait for regular access that’s fine too! You can shop the same sale as well starting on July 21 (sale ends August 6).
My tips for shopping the sale:
1. If you love it, buy it.
Don’t question yourself. The worst feeling for me is to see something, love it, & pass on it. Sometimes, I think I’ll see something else and then when I go back it’s gone. This happened A LOT during the sale last year. Never second guess yourself, you don’t want to miss out on something you really want.
2. Make a list of the items you need and a list of the items you want.
If I could, I would purchase the whole store and that’s kind of what I did last year 🙈. Being that it was my first time at the sale, you could say, “my eyes were bigger than my stomach”. I bought everything – whether it was online or in store and I didn’t take my time to think if I really needed it or I just had to have it. This year I will be shopping smarter, staying within budget, and making a list of the things my closet can benefit from. My mom will be pleased.
3. Don’t neglect the beauty department.
Last year, I remember thinking I didn’t want to leave without getting something from every section of the store. I completely forgot about the beauty department and during my next shopping trip, I made sure to visit the beauty counter. My Foreo Luna Mini, which is originally $100 was on major sale! I picked up some shampoo/conditioner for my boyfriend and also discovered my new favorite candles by Voluspa.
Early Access begins today July 13th!
